About Me

I believe everyone deserves a safe place to feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate life's challenges.
I’ve always believed that at some point in life, everyone can benefit from therapy. Many people think therapy means something is “wrong” with you—but the truth is, sometimes we all just need a safe space, someone to listen, and gently guide us through life’s ups and downs.
For more than 25 years, I’ve been honored to walk alongside individuals in the mental health and substance use field. As an outpatient counselor, I worked with people from diverse backgrounds facing a wide range of challenges. While that work was meaningful, the nature of those programs often limited the time I could spend with clients, leaving me wishing I could support them more fully throughout their journey.
That dream inspired me to create my own private practice. Recognizing how distance, schedules, and responsibilities can make therapy difficult to access, I chose to offer services through telehealth. My goal was to remove barriers, making therapy not only more accessible, but also more comfortable for those seeking support.
In 2022, I opened my practice with the hope of offering people a place where they can feel heard, supported, and empowered—no matter where they are in life.

Celtic Tree of Life

The inspiration behind Rooted Balance Therapy
The inspiration for Rooted Balance Therapy comes from both my Celtic heritage and the meaning behind the Celtic Tree of Life. The Tree of Life symbolizes balance, growth, and the interconnectedness of all things. Its branches reach upward while its roots extend deep beneath the surface—each relying on the other for strength and stability.
To me, that reflects the human experience. What we show the world doesn't always match what we carry inside. Our thoughts, emotions, experiences, and relationships shape who we are, even when they're hidden beneath the surface.
Just as a tree thrives when its roots and branches are in harmony, healing happens when we begin to understand and reconnect the visible and invisible parts of ourselves. My hope is that Rooted Balance Therapy provides a place where you can strengthen those roots, foster growth, and find greater balance as you move forward in life's journey.
